Acquisition of ABC Solutions

Effective January 1, 2009, our firm acquired the Hilliard-area based firm ABC Solutions, which had been in business since 1997. ABC was owned previously by Tiffany J. Morisue, CPA and Mark J. Lesser, CPA.

Tiffany and Mark had some very good reasons for wanting to sell their practice. They have two very young children together, and the hours involved in owning and operating your own CPA practice can be long. Mark wanted to get a position in industry (which he did, with the Ohio State University Medical Centers), and Tiffany wanted to go back to school to get a degree in photography so she could open her own photography studio. Most importantly, they wanted to be able to spend more time with their kids.

Tiffany and Mark both agreed to work for the combined firm through April 15, 2009 to help with the transition. We worked with many of Tiffany and Mark’s clients in 2009. We look forward to working with all of the ABC Solutions’ clients in 2010.

Most of the client assignments handled by Tiffany and Mark are now being handled by Brad Cook. Brad is a 1984 graduate of Capital University with a degree in accounting. After graduation, Brad spent two years on the audit staff of Deloitte Haskins & Sells, CPA’s (now Deloitte & Touche, CPA’s). Since then, Brad has served as controller for companies in various industries including metal stamping, avionics installation, and magazine publishing. He has also served as accounting manager for a large central-Ohio homebuilder where he oversaw the accounting for all land purchases and land development. He brings over 20 years of experience to the table.

Brad worked on many of the ABC Solutions’ clients behind the scenes in 2009. He assumed primary client contact responsibility after Tiffany and Mark completed the transition process.

Dennis P. Williamson, CPA will be involved in virtually all work performed for ABC Solutions’ clients to ensure that the services provided are of the highest quality.
